Petteri Falck was born on November 26, 1963 in Helsinki. His own parents, being singers themselves, were his first teachers. He attended the Sibelius Grammar School and the Sibelius Academy; he also attended master courses within the opera festival in Savonlinna. He is fully engaged in professional singing since 1988. He sang at many opera stages, among them let us name at least Finish National Opera, Savonlinna Opera Festival, Musiktheater St. Petersburg, Mussorgsky Theatre St. Petersburg, Royal Opera Copenhagen, Volksoper Vienna, Landestheater Salzburg, etc. He impersonated 35 opera parts, some of them in two languages. We can name for instance roles like Don Giovanni, Count Almaviva, Harlequin, Escamillo, Gugliemo, Eugene Onegin, Germont, Ezio, Nick Shadow and many other main baritone roles. Besides the opera singing, he is also engaged in oratorio singing (Mozart, Mass C–Minor; Kokkonen, Requiem; Charpentier, Te Deum). Also his co-operation with many conductors is plentiful, among them we can name Donald Runnicles, Hans Graf, Philippe Jordan, Okko Kamu, and Alexander Livenson. The part of Dr. Treves is his debut in Prague State Opera.
